EXPERIENCE

Digital Product Owner
Irene Publishing

2024–2026

Irene Publishing publishes books to promote peace through peaceful means. I have overall responsibility for the publishing house’s brand, spanning web and e-commerce to content flows, distribution, and international publishing. In this role, I spread Irene’s message of peace, prioritizing initiatives based on business goals, limited resources, and core values. I lead content production from idea to final delivery: planning, interviewing, and producing author conversations that are published on YouTube and used in marketing and newsletters. I also own the newsletter workflow across multiple markets and languages, with responsibility for planning, audience adaptation, and continuity.

For international sales, I manage publishing and quality assurance of English-language titles via Lulu and Amazon, translating technical and editorial requirements into functional products. I also produce e-books based on existing titles, including works about the war in Ukraine, with a focus on accessibility, accuracy, and long-term maintenance.

NCM — National Centre for Mathematics Education

2022–2024

I took the initiative to develop the website from a more static structure into a dynamic and continuously updated channel, tailored for journal publishing, seminars, news monitoring, and blog posts. Using analytics tools, I worked data-driven to improve our most widely used materials. Among my projects are the digitalization of the Kangaroo Competition’s administration, a mathematics competition with thousands of Swedish participants, and the development of our newsletter into a modern channel with 5,000 subscribers. To ensure relevance, I used Retriever for news monitoring. The result was shorter lead times, higher quality, and a more relevant digital presence.

I also produced NCM’s seminar series with up to 300 live participants and was responsible for the entire chain from planning to finished video publication. I am particularly proud of the collaboration with content providers: through interviews and close dialogue, we captured their expertise and packaged it into content that delivered real value.

CMS Support Lead
University of Gothenburg

2016–2019

I led the development of a structured support organization at the University of Gothenburg, supporting hundreds of web editors in a complex CMS environment. Within the communications department, I structured the work, raised the service level, and made it easier for more users to get help as soon as possible. I created written guides and short instructional videos, introduced screen sharing and remote support as standard practices, and implemented the university’s newly created ticket handling software STIG with status, ownership, and follow-up.

The result was faster initial response times, more predictable support, better visibility into bottlenecks, and stronger collaboration with IT and external developers through clear bug reports and prioritized actions.

In my career of twenty years I have rarely met someone who really goes the extra mile and helps out others like Andreas Wieslander. Andreas has the combination of both skills and friendliness along with a problem solving attitude. We would not have been able to do what we wanted to do had it not been for Andreas. Anyone who hires Andreas will definitely be impressed by both his kindness and abilities and how he gets things done!

ABOUT ME

I thrive when I can stay active, spend time with my family, and explore new environments for inspiration. I play the guitar and have always had a strong relationship with games as a medium, not just as entertainment, but as a way to tell stories, create presence, and truly connect with people. I enjoy building things with a clear human touch and have a strong ability to put myself in the user’s perspective.
