Here’s a quick image tutorial for how I fixed my broken Dacia Duster car key.
The casing had worn down so much that the plastic fell off. Initially it was only a cosmetic issue, but after a couple of weeks the small button also fell out.
I searched for “car key housing repair set for Dacia Duster” and bought a set online (avoid Amazon if you can).
It did require me to use a soldering iron, but it was simple enough to disconnect the 4 points I’ve marked with a circle, removing the broken button, replacing it with a new, and solder it back on.
The key worked straight away and I’m very happy with the cheap fix to a rather irritating problem.
