Fancy a Ninja Fingers t-shirt?
I got myself a Ninja Fingers t-shirt a month or two ago. I didn’t plan to do anything special but it looks so damn good I deciced to show it off. I just setup a store over at printfection, where you can order any of the 4 characters on shirts and t-shirts for men, women and kids sizes.
Here are a couple of previews of what’s offered, as well as a cellphone photo of me wearing a size M standard t-shirt (for reference I’m 180 cm tall and wheigh 80 kg).
Go ahead and visit www.printfection.com/ninjafingers and give yourself or a friend a treat!
Abbreviations! (NSFW)
I recently introduced my sweetheart to Reddit. I had a hunch she wasn’t getting all the abbrevations used so I asked about the first ten I saw.
Here’s what she thinks they mean:
- stfu – so that’s fucking unique
- wtf – what the fuck
- omg – oh my god
- asap – as soon as possible
- gtfo – get the first out
- fyi – for your information
- imho – I’m hooked
- tl;dr – this is life ; don’t rush
- TIL – That I like
- NSFW – Not so funny… something, something
- gl hf – good luck, high five
gl hf is what a lot of players say at the beginning of a starcraft 2 game, which see’s seen when watching Day9. I just love the idea of players high fiving each other before the game!
Mispronounced words from Reddit
I was linked to a post on Reddit entitled Which words did you mispronounce for years because you’d only seen it in writing?
I was surprised of the kind of words people were mispronouncing and decided to check the correct pronunciation on Dictionary.com. To my dismay, the digitial voice of Dictionary.com didn’t pronounce some of the words in the same way I have been doing for 28 years. Entering all these searches took some time so I thought I’d help you along the way and link to the pronunciation of some of the more common tricky words mentioned in the Reddit post.
As Reddit’s darien_gap so nicely put it: mispronunciation is the sign of somebody who reads at a level above the education level of the people he spends time with.
Here’s the list, once on the new page click the little audio icon to actually hear a digital voice pronounce the word.

Conquest of Heroes trailer
My old friends at Beyond Ascension just uploaded a video of Conquest of Heroes. I’m really glad to see the progress.
Spare time game developer
This year I have – together with people all over the world – spent my spare time working on a game demo for PC.
The progress on the game itself is going slow and steady and we have lots of other material ready.
Our novel called Conquest of Heroes has just been finished and will be published shortly.
Hilma
This is an audio book where I did the mastering/final editing. The book is read by Ingegerd Johansson, in swedish.
It’s now available on this link free to download.
In Real Game
In Real Game is the name of my Bachelor Thesis. It’s a project about marketing games through live performances in order to focus on the games feel rather than its graphics and sfxs. This idea has been applied to the game PaRappa the Rapper to Playstation, resulting in a video documention of what Stage 4 – Cheap Cheap the Cooking Chicken would be like in real life. Enjoy!
Nitrogen
Nitrogen is a “Capture the flag”-map for the game Quake III – Arena.
My part of the project was creating a soundtrack relevant for the design of the map, as well as the gameplay, meaning dark, heavy, and a bit stressful. It also recquired me to create sound effects according with the level design.
The map consists of two sides, red and blue. The only way travel between them is by using the trains. There are two trains, one on each side of the flag camps.
In order to launh a succesful attack the members of a team have to cooperate. A single person arriving with the train is not likely to have a great impact.
If you want to try it out for yourself you need a copy of Quake III – Arena.
1. Download Nitrogen_final.zip
2. Extract the contents and place them into the Arena/baseq3/ directory.
3. Start Quake
4. In the console write:
/sv_pure 0
/devmap nitrogen_final
Process model
I had the great oppurtunity to be part of a team that have created something that was to be used as educational material.
This is our approach on a game development process model.
