Summary

I wanted to make a game for the whole family. When making this, I was a bit tired of games that you play alone or multiplayer games you play online only. I wanted something where all the players actually sat around the tablet, and where the physical space would be a game factor.

My job was doing concept design, in-game graphics and project management.

App Store description

Do you miss the times when you would sit around a table and play games with your friends and family? I made this game with the purpose of bringing people together. You can be of any age, skill and mindset since you make your own rules. It’s designed for 2-4 good friends, and involves touching hands.

――――――――――――――――――――――
➤ IMPORTANT
――――――――――――――――――――――
Make sure to turn off multitasking gestures under “Settings/General/Multitasking Gestures” on your iPad, otherwise you’ll probably switch screens during some part of the game. This is a 2-4 player game. There are no single player features.

――――――――――――――――――――――
➤ WHAT IS NINJA FINGERS?
――――――――――――――――――――――
Ninja Fingers is about being quicker and more limber than your opponent(s). Pick your favorite ninja marker with your finger. The game starts as soon as 2 or more players have done this. Your goal is to place your fingers on the displayed markers. When you reach the maximum of three markers, old ones will dissappear to make room for new ones. You win by reaching your markers and preventing your opponents to reach theirs. If you are the first in a round to touch all of your markers, you make it difficult for your opponents to reach theirs since your hand is in the way, also your new marker will be the first to pop up next round giving you a small head start.

――――――――――――――――――――――
➤ YOU MAKE THE RULES
――――――――――――――――――――――
The rules are not written in stone. You and your friends decide how to play.

Examples of questions to ask:
– Is it ok to use both hands?
– Is it ok to lift your hand off the screen at any time?
– Is it ok to push the other players using your hand or wrist?

You could also have different rules for different players, for example a 5-year old may use both hands and push others but grandpa can only use one and never lift his hand off the screen.

➤ ABOUT ME AND DEVELOPMENT
――――――――――――――――――――――–
I’m a single developer. I’ve got some average design skills and a great passion for gaming. I hired a programmer, made some graphics myself and asked my dear sister (at www.sannawieslander.com) to draw the 4 main characters of the game and I’m very proud of the outcome.

If you find any bugs or have questions, request, comments or complaints, please let me know.

Sorry David, it hasn’t been available for years on App Store, and I don’t think I have the .ipa file anywhere saved.
