Fancy a Ninja Fingers t-shirt?

I got myself a Ninja Fingers t-shirt a month or two ago. I didn’t plan to do anything special but it looks so damn good I deciced to show it off. I just setup a store over at printfection, where you can order any of the 4 characters on shirts and t-shirts for men, women and kids sizes.

Here are a couple of previews of what’s offered, as well as a cellphone photo of me wearing a size M standard t-shirt (for reference I’m 180 cm tall and wheigh 80 kg).

Go ahead and visit www.printfection.com/ninjafingers and give yourself or a friend a treat!

Ninja Fingers pressrelease

Posted by on Apr 19, 2012 in Apps, Gaming

I am pleased to announce that Ninja Fingers for iPad is available in all regions.

It is a family game, designed to bring people closer (literally). 2-4 players have a game of mini-Twister, where markers will popup at random on the screen, and your goal is simply to position your fingers on a maximum of three places, while hopefully preventing the other players from doing the same.

What’s so special about this? There are no programmed rules. Each round ends when only one player is positioned on his/her markers, but how you get there is completely up to you. This makes it very well balanced for all types of players. For example, as I have played quite a lot, I would only be allowed to use one of my hands to reach the three positions, and I wouldn’t be allowed to lift my hand off the screen. A player with smaller hands, such as a 5-year old, could use both his/her hands, lift them as they please, and possibly try to push the other hands out of the way. In my experience the games are always pretty balanced and the players quickly adjust the rules to make for more fun games.

Device requirements:
* iPad
* iOS 3.2 or later
* size: 39 MB

Pricing and availability:
At 2 $ USD, the game is available in all regions. Review copies are available upon request. Ninja Fingers – App Store

Screen sharing with a programmer

Posted by on Apr 16, 2012 in Apps, Gaming

Have you ever collaborated with someone online?

Well, I have, for years and years. If you use the right software and have a decent internet connection it can be just as good and sometimes even better than traveling to a shared office. For example you could call someone on Skype and share your screen and discuss the days work in a matter of minutes.

Or, you can do what I did last Thursday. My dear programmer for Ninja Fingers, Johannes, didn’t have his mic set up, so we thought we’d just screen share. He took control of my computer through www.logmein.com and instead of talking like two normal persons, we frantically and simultaneously tried to type text wherever there was an available text  box. For example we had an entire discussion in a google search box, taking turns writing. We did some weird searches that day…

When the keyboard didn’t cut it, Johannes starting drawing on screen to further get his point across. This lovely screen cap is him drawing how he felt when the upload to App Store completed.

This is how you develop games. Right..?

“Waiting for review”

Posted by on Apr 16, 2012 in Apps, Gaming

Long story short, I’m now a single developer and I’ve gotten back the rights for my game Ninja Fingers. While I wait for Apple to review the app on my new personal App Store account, I spent some time making an old boxing style poster including all the characters.

Idea for L4D2 mutation

How about this?

“Realism Realism”. When you play either campaign or VS, when a character die, they die. Sure, you can use defibs, but if you leave Bill dead and behind on level 3, he’s not going to be there on level 4.

For Versus that should mean that it’s a lot scarier to play and easier to immerse the zombie threat. It should also mean that infected will really focus fire down one survivor to increase their advantage on following levels.

Has it already been done?

Starcraft streaming and t-shirts

Me and J watched this weekends live Starcraft 2 tournament, which Dong Rae Gu won. All top three were Zerg players by the way.

So, we wanted to dress up for the occasion and decided to make our own Sc 2 shirts, using stencils, paint and a iron.

Here’s how it turned out.

Gamers at Gotland

I was at Visby last week talking to the GAME students about some of the things we do at Burning Man Studios. I had a great time and finally got to see Steve. Check out this link to see some shots of us before our presentation!

The party afterwards was lovely and I just loved seeing the staff again and a few old mates from back in the days. That education has really shaped up the last couple of years which I think is thanks to the work of Don. Well done, buddy!
